When functioning is not the whole story

You are Handling Everything. Something Still is not Working.

From the outside, your life may look steady: responsibility, accomplishment, people who rely on you. Inside, you may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or far from the person you recognize.

You feel the strain, but cannot seem to understand why it keeps returning—or how to change it. The issue may not be only excessive work or stress at home. Trauma and entrenched emotional or relational patterns can quietly shape the way you respond.

Therapy makes room to understand what goes on beneath the surface, explore traumatic experiences with care, and develop more control over how you respond. The work moves toward clarity, resilience, and greater choice in how you live and relate.

What Brings you Here?

Burnout & Chronic Stress

You may be carrying more than your calendar shows. We can look beneath the exhaustion at the expectations, boundaries, and patterns that keep your system under pressure.

Lives that may feel familiar

You Might be Closer to one of These Stories Than you Think.

Deep Exhaustion

You are the person others call when the stakes are high. At work, you make difficult decisions and steady the room. At home, your patience is shorter and your mind is still running long after everyone else is asleep. You tell yourself this is simply a demanding season, yet the season never seems to end. You want to understand why slowing down feels so difficult—and why success no longer feels like relief.

Self-consciousness

You have built a life that reflects years of intelligence and effort, but a familiar pattern keeps returning in your closest relationships. You anticipate what others need, avoid the conversation that might disappoint them, and later feel unseen. You can explain the pattern perfectly after it happens. In the moment, it feels automatic. You are ready for insight that reaches beyond explanation and into a different way of relating.

Uncertainty and Blurred Identity

The next step should be clear. You have handled transitions before, and people assume you will handle this one too. Yet the role, relationship, or future you once worked toward no longer fits as it did. You feel restless, uncertain, and privately ashamed that accomplishment has not produced certainty. You do not need another productivity system. You need room to understand what this change is asking of you.

Quick answers

Questions People ask First

What can I expect during our first session?+

Think of our first session as a high-level consultation. We'll dive straight into what's currently standing in your way. We will discuss your history, but our primary focus will be on your current “pain points”—whether that's burnout, high-stakes decision fatigue, or the isolation that often comes with work demands and leadership. By the end of the hour, we will have a preliminary roadmap for our work together.

How does the intake process go?+

It is simple. Upon scheduling the first session, you will receive two forms to sign and send back: 1) A one-page Informed Consent and 2) a two-page Intake Form. During the first encounter, I will collect the remaining data pertaining to your psychobiosocial profile. You will have an internal personal chart and direct access to your digital portal in my HIPAA-compliant practice platform.

How do you handle privacy and discretion?+

Anonymity is paramount. My practice is fully HIPAA-compliant, and I utilize secure, encrypted platforms for all digital communication and billing. Whether we meet at my Southwest Austin location or via a secure telehealth link, your professional reputation and personal privacy are protected by the highest legal and ethical standards.

How do we manage appointments?+

I work specifically with high-impact professionals and understand that “9 to 5” doesn't always exist in your world. I offer a streamlined online portal for easy scheduling and rescheduling. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy to maintain the integrity of the practice, I strive to offer flexibility where possible to ensure your mental health support remains a consistent part of your routine.

What is your therapeutic style for leaders and professionals?+

My approach is collaborative and direct. While traditional therapy often focuses solely on the “what,” I integrate a “why” and “how-to” framework. We will look at the root causes of your stress, but we will also develop tactical tools for emotional regulation, assertive communication, boundary setting, and cognitive resilience that you can apply in the boardroom or at home immediately.
