Along the Highway 71 Corridor
Bee Cave sits on Highway 71, in the hills west of Austin. The office is on West Highway 290 in Southwest Austin, and the two highways meet at the Y in Oak Hill, so the practice sits on a road you may already know. There is no office in Bee Cave itself. Sessions take place at FUSE WorkSpace, a private, quiet room with easy parking, or by secure video from wherever you are in Texas. The goal is simple: to make a regular appointment realistic within a week that already has plenty of moving parts, so that showing up for yourself does not become one more thing you postpone.
When Work Lives at Home
Remote and hybrid work can bring real freedom. It can also erase the line between the workday and the rest of your life. The laptop stays open on the kitchen table, messages arrive at dinner, and it becomes hard to say when you are actually off. Over time, that constant availability can wear down your mood, sleep, and patience without any single dramatic moment. In therapy, we can look at how you set limits, what makes them hard to hold, and what rest would really require. If the strain has settled in for the long term, you may want to read about burnout and chronic stress.
Carrying the Outcome
If you run your own company or lead a team, you may carry the outcome in a way others do not see. Payroll, customers, deadlines, and risk can follow you everywhere, and it may feel as if there is no one you can fully confide in. Colleagues depend on you, and the people at home may worry if you share too much. Carrying risk alone can quietly shape your nervous system, your relationships, and your sense of who you are when you are not producing. Therapy offers a place where you do not have to be the one with answers. We can make room for doubt, fatigue, and ambition at the same time.
Beneath the Surface
Some stress belongs to the current season. Some of it rests on older foundations: beliefs about worth, patterns learned early, or experiences your body still remembers. Our work may include schema and core-beliefs exploration, attention to the physical signals of stress, and mindfulness practices that help you notice before you react. When earlier experiences continue to shape how you respond to pressure, conflict, or closeness, trauma therapy may become part of the conversation. We move at a pace that feels manageable. Understanding where a reaction comes from does not make it disappear overnight, but it can give you more choice in how you respond.
Choosing a Format Week by Week
You do not have to commit to one format forever. Some weeks, the trip to West Highway 290 may be a welcome break from the house. Other weeks, a secure video session from your home office may be the only way to keep the appointment. Both work, as long as you are located in Texas during each session. We can decide as your schedule shifts. Sessions are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which can matter if one language feels natural for work and another for what you feel. You are welcome to use whichever language gives your experience the most room, and to move between them.
